The Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center
Serving Burnet, Blanco, Llano and Lampasas Counties

The Family Crisis Center has been providing a safe haven for battered women and  their children for the past 15 years   - but it doesn't stop there. The Center also offers counseling services, a 24 hour hotline and referrals to a  network of agencies and organizations that can help families in need. 

Thanks to the the hard work and generosity of  volunteers throughout the community, the Family Crisis Center has raised the money needed to complete its much needed building expansion. The "Broadway Under the Stars" Gala, held in December of 1998, was a huge success and helped us reach our goal.

With the completion of the new facility, we will be able to expand and serve more women and children who are victims of family violence and sexual abuse. We also plan to implement more creative programs and networking within the community.

But not all the Center's needs are so great - small things such as shampoo or laundry detergent can go a long way to make a family's stay a little less traumatic.
